The 6th Annual North East Europe Regional Rounds of the Price Media Law Moot Court Competition were successfully concluded by the Digital Security Lab Ukraine in partnership with the Bonavero Institute for Human Rights (University of Oxford), National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy”, and Kyiv Mohyla Moot Court Society online from the 21 to 23 January 2022. The Rounds were run by DSL Ukraine Legal Counsel Maksym Dvorovyi, and the member of the Committee on Media and Advertising Law of the Ukrainian National Bar Association Alina Pravdychenko.
20 students from Ukraine, Latvia, and Belarus were debating on the impact of social media on election results and the President’s deplatforming from the largest social media platform. Their performances were evaluated by 22 judges from different parts of the world. The finals’ judges were Antonina Cherevko (ARTICLE 19), Paolo Cavaliere (University of Edinburgh), and Willem Korthals Altes (former Senior Judge in the District Court of Amsterdam).
